| We will have our annual Bake Sale, Mar. 17-18, on the Square, in celebration of Gen. Granbury's Birthday!!!! There will be lots and lots of home-made goodies, new T-Shirts, and tickets for our big Spring Fling, Apr. 19. If you would like to donate baked goods, please call the Shelter. We need as much as we can get!!! But please nothing with icing or anything else that may melt in the sun. You can drop your goodies off at the Shelter on the 16th, the Fri. before, between noon and 4 p.m. | ||

| It's time to vote again at the animal rescue site so we'll have a chance to win a grant of $5,000, $2,000, or $1,000. It goes from Jan. 9 thru Mar. 18. You can vote once a day, but if you have more than one computer, iPad, or an iPhone, you can vote once a day on each one. Just go to: http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com, click on the Shelter Challenge tab on the righthand side, designate Friends for Animals Adoption Shelter and vote every day!!!!! | ||

| The Shelter desperately needs clorox and laundry detergent!!!!! We go through about 8-10 gals of clorox a day and we are about out! Please help us if you can. You can drop these items by the Shelter Tues-Sat, noon-5pm. Thanks!!!!!!! | ||

| Our adoptions for 2010 came to a total of 354. That is way down from last year - we think mostly because of the economy. We hope this coming year, we will do better and at least break 400!!! Please help us get loving homes for as many of these abandoned pets as we can! | ||
